The Aston Martin Formula One team have renewed their partnership with Swiss watch brand Girard-Perregaux.

Contract:

  • Collaboration has spawned five exclusive limited-edition watches
  • Length of contract renewal has not been disclosed

Context:

Girard-Perregaux has partnered with Aston Martin for three years now, having first collaborated with the team for its first season in 2021.

This follows a wider trend in Formula One of Swiss watch manufacturers committing to sponsorship deals, with the likes of Alpine and Visa Cash App RB agreeing contracts with H. Moser & Cie and Tudor, respectively.

Comment:

Lawrence Stroll, executive chairman of the Aston Martin Formula One team, said: “It’s been a remarkable three years in partnership with Girard-Perregaux.

“We’ve seen beautiful watches, memorable moments and a collaborative relationship emerge from the partnership as we’ve met around the concept of innovation for performance.

“Together we have benefitted from the collaboration, sharing ideas and working closely to elevate everything we do. I’d like to thank Patrick [Pruniaux, Girard-Perregaux chief executive] and his team for the ride and for the passion, commitment and creativity they’ve applied to what we do together. Long may it continue.”
