Formula One has agreed a media rights extension with RTBF in Belgium until 2027.
Confirmed:
- Four-year extension sees Formula One continue on French-language broadcaster
- Full coverage will be offered across both linear and digital platforms through the Tipik and Auvio channels
- Select races will also be available on La Une throughout the season
Context:
This decades-long partnership will continue for at least four more years, a longer commitment than Formula One has made to the Belgian Grand Prix. The historic race may be secure until 2025, but its long-term future remains in doubt with Formula One consistently looking further afield for new races.
Comment:
Michaella Snoeck, head of media rights at Formula One, said: “As F1 continues to grow and attract new audiences, we are delighted to extend this special relationship with our long-standing broadcast partner. We look forward to working with RTBF to further improve our broadcast offering and build a best-in-class viewing experience for fans in Belgium to enjoy the drama and excitement of Formula One.”
Coming next:
Formula One returns this weekend for the first of three consecutive race weekends, starting with the United States Grand Prix in Austin from 20th to 22nd October.
