F1 signs North American audio broadcast deal with TuneIn

Contract for remainder of 2023 season and covers US and Canada.

Formula One has signed a broadcasting agreement with audio streaming service TuneIn.

Confirmed:

  • Contract sees TuneIn become an official audio broadcaster in US and Canada
  • Premium subscibers can access full audio coverage of every session
  • The deal covers the remainder of the 2023 season

Context: This is not an exclusive deal with TuneIn, with Formula One currently in the midst of a multi-year agreement with Liberty Media-owned SiriusXM.

Comment: Ian Holmes, director of media rights and content creation at Formula One, said: “As Formula One has expanded its footprint in North America over the last five years, we have seen the development of a passionate fanbase, especially in Canada and the US, who want to follow F1 wherever they are.

“This partnership with TuneIn, along with other audio arrangements we have in the territory, highlights our commitment to utilising different platforms and media to broadcast F1 to as broad and diverse an audience as possible.”

Coming next: The agreement gets underway from the upcoming Canadian Grand Prix, taking place from 16th to 18th June.
