MotoGP confirms IndianOil as title sponsor of Indian Grand Prix

Race takes place at Buddh International Circuit on 24th September.

MotoGP has confirmed IndianOil as the title sponsor of the Indian Grand Prix.

Confirmed:

  • Multi-national oil and gas company comes on board for MotoGP's inaugural event in India
  • The race will be billed as the ‘IndianOil Grand Prix of India’

Context:

MotoGP signed a seven-year deal to race in India in 2022, although there were some rumours that the race may not go ahead this season. The series’ chief commercial officer Dan Rossomondo told BlackBook Motorsport earlier this year that “it’s full speed ahead” for the event, and this title sponsorship agreement appears to confirm the race will go ahead as planned.
