McLaren expands New Era partnership across all race series

IndyCar, Formula E and Extreme E to all benefit from expanded contract.

McLaren Racing have extended and expanded their contract with New Era to cover all their racing teams from the 2023 season.

Contract:

  • Products set to be released to celebrate dedicated races
  • Special edition cap planned for McLaren's 60th anniversary
  • Wider collection of designs and styles also set to be released

Context: New Era had intially been partnered with just the Formula One and esports teams, but the multi-year extension sees the support extended across IndyCar, Formula E and Extreme E.

Comment: Lindsey Eckhouse, director for licensing and digital products at McLaren Racing, said: “We are delighted to extend and grow our partnership with New Era, a distinguished brand that shares McLaren’s ambition to be brave and bold. The response to our fan headwear has been fantastic, so we are excited to now bring New Era’s headwear to every series we race in.”

Coming next: McLaren Racing will next be in action for the start of the Extreme E season in Neom, Saudi Arabia, this weekend.
