Hyundai Motorsport finalises Alpinestars contract

Follows motorsport brand's deal to supply McLaren Racing's motorsport activities.

Hyundai Motorsport has agreed a contract with Alpinestars for the 2024 season.

  • Deal will predominantly apply to Hyundai’s World Rally Championship (WRC) season
  • Alpinestars’ ‘impressive marketing campaigns’ impressed Hyundai in application process

This becomes the second supply deal secured by Alpinestars in a matter of days, following its agreement to supply all of McLaren Racing’s motorsport activities.

Cyril Abiteboul, president and team principal for Hyundai Motorsport, said: “We are delighted to join forces with such a renowned brand as Alpinestars for the 2024 WRC season. In assessing our supplier options, we were drawn to how Alpinestars is pushing the limits on not only the technical side with its products, but also in its marketing and brand awareness strategy.

“It is an incredibly established company with a youthful and innovative approach that appeals to similar audiences that we want to bring in to the Hyundai Motorsport fold. We’re excited to work very closely with Alpinestars throughout the season.”
