Formula E has seen its cumulative TV audience grow 40 per cent through the first four races of this season.
Confirmed:
- Cumulative TV audience grows from 62 million in 2023 to 86 million in 2024
- Live audiences have grown 37 per cent year-over-year (YoY) from 45 million to 61 million
- Social media impressions have boomed 44 per cent, while video views have more than doubled
Context:
Formula E has begun the 2024 season making more noise about Formula One than ever before, and it appears to be paying dividends in making people sit up and take notice. The data has been sourced by Kantar Sport (TV viewership metrics) and Conviva (social media analytics).
It will be interesting to see if this promising start can be maintained throughout the season, especially with the competitive action on offer compared to Formula One’s processionary racing. In fact, five drivers from five different teams have triumphed in the five Formula E races so far this season.
