British Superbikes signs three-year R&G extension

Hampshire-based company enters ninth consecutive season as official sponsor.

The British Superbike Championship has signed a three-year official sponsorship extension with motorbike accessory specialist R&G.

Contract:

  • R&G will title sponsor the Thruxton round, as well as the preseason tests
  • Specialist companu also receives the naming rights to the British Talent Cup support series
  • On-track branding will be expanded to include further R&G-distributed brands

Context: This will be the ninth consecutive season that R&G has held official sponsor status, and the contract extension grants an expansion in on-track branding as R&G-distributed brands like Barkbusters and Denali will be given extra visibility.

Comment: Stuart Higgs, British Superbike Championship series director, said: “I am delighted to announce the extended partnership with R&G, which continues to be an integral part of the paddock. The sponsorship features some new elements for 2023, with the naming rights for the British Talent Cup and an association with the all-new BMW F 900 R Cup.”

Coming next: With R&G sponsoring the test sessions throughout March, including a visit to Navarra in Spain, the championship is set to return from 7th to 9th April at Silverstone Circuit for its first race of 2023.
