Cadillac Racing will have a two-car entry in the Hypercar category of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) next season.
Confirmed:
- British outfit Team Jota to switch to Cadillac power from 2025
- Cadillac currently runs one car with Chip Ganassi Racing
Context:
Team Jota entered the Hypercar class in 2023 with support from Porsche, but switches to Cadillac after just two seasons. The General Motors-owned brand had been looking for a new partner in WEC after it was revealed it would be splitting from Chip Ganassi Racing earlier this year.
Comment:
John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac, said: “Cadillac is proud to be racing against the best in the world as part of the FIA World Endurance Championship, and that includes Hertz Team Jota.
“We are thrilled to welcome Hertz Team Jota next year, bringing decades of racing and technical expertise together, to achieve continued success on the track and create new advocates for our brand around the globe.”
