Australian-based Supercars Championship has confirmed the 2024 dates for its Gold Coast and Townsville events.
Confirmed:
- Townsville race to be held from 5th to 7th July
- Supercars to visit Gold Coast from 25th to 27th October
Context:
The events, which are being supported by the Queensland government, will both reach major milestones in 2024. Townsville will celebrate its 15th anniversary, while Queensland will see the 30th running of its biggest annual sporting event at the Gold Coast 500.

Supercars chief executive Shane Howard said: “We are thrilled to be celebrating two major milestones for our two marquee rounds in Queensland in 2024. Both the Townsville and Gold Coast rounds have become key events on our annual calendar and are favourites of fans and the drivers alike, with door-to-door racing and live music acts providing something for everyone.”

While the full 2024 calendar is yet to be released, Supercars has already confirmed that it will make its long-awaited return to New Zealand at Taupo International Motorsport Park from 19th to 21st April.
