Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) has postponed the start of its fourth season.
Confirmed:
- ‘Market factors that have proven too much to overcome’ resulted in postponement
- SRX does not go as far as to confirm full cancellation of series yet
Context:
SRX only debuted in 2021, with founders including Stewart-Haas Racing owner Tony Stewart and former Nascar crew chief Ray Evernham. However, the series has struggled to maintain momentum in its short lifespan.
Last season, the series’ switch from network TV to cable resulted in a 56 per cent fall in viewership, down from one million to 436,000 per race.

Coming next:
SRX had been looking to establish an international event, possibly in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, but these plans will need to be shelved. It remains to be seen whether this postponement will be temporary or if SRX can be resurrected in the future.
