Nascar has partnered with Create Artists Agency (CAA) to bolster Nascar Studios, the series’ production arm founded in 2022, according to Variety

(Un)confirmed:

  • CAA will work with Nascar Studios to develop strategic relationships across its existing IP in film, television, music and podcasts
  • Nascar Studios works with teams, sponsors, tracks and drivers to develop an array of media projects

Context:

The reported agreement expands on the work done between the two parties on Nascar’s most recent media rights contract. CAA subsidiary Evolution Media Capital (EMC) served as the advisor for a deal that will net the stock car racing series US$1.1 billion per year from 2025 until 2031.

Nascar Studios produced Netflix docuseries Full Speed, which released in January. The series’ attempt to replicate Drive to Survive’s popularity proved a hit with fans, so the strategic agreement with CAA is aiming to seize on this momentum.
