The Mercedes Formula One team have signed a technical partnership with paints manufacturer Sherwin-Williams.
- Company to supply paints and coatings to the team
- Length of deal not confirmed, but in place for at least the 2023 season
Context: Sherwin-Williams had already been partnered with the Mercedes-EQ Formula E team before they left the all-electric series last year.
Comment: Richard Sanders, chief commercial officer of Mercedes, said: “We have a shared commitment to innovation, performance and sustainability which makes for a natural partnership. Coming next: Sherwin-Williams' paints and coatings will be utilised on the new Mercedes car, set to launch at Silverstone on 15th February.
