The Haas Formula One team have agreed a regional partnership with online marketplace Mercari.
Contract:
- Mercari logo will feature on the car at this weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix
- This will continue at all three of Haas’ home races – Miami, Austin, and Las Vegas
Context:
Haas have been very successful in leveraging their position as the sole US-based team on the grid to fuel commercial growth. This follows deals from last year with US-based companies such as MGM Resorts International, Chipotle and TravisMathew, with Palm Angels and Oakberry also having a presence in the US.
Comment:
“We’re delighted to expand our partnership roster with the addition of Mercari, a US company focused on pushing the limits and raising the bar for the way ecommerce should be,” said Mark Morrell, director of marketing for Haas.
“Mercari is an ambitious organisation that isn’t afraid to challenge industry predecessors, which is something we can relate to. We’re looking forward to collaborating on a range of unique and engaging activations across the US and Japan.”
