Formula E appoints Beth Paretta as VP of sporting

Pioneering female leader brings more than two decades of automotive and motorsport experience to new role.

Formula E has appointed Beth Paretta as its new vice president of sporting.

Contract:

  • Paretta will oversee all sporting and championship activities at the all-electric series
  • This will encompass developing new business opportunities and attracting participants to the series

Context:

Paretta is a pioneer in motorsport, leading the women-forward Paretta Autosport team in the Indianapolis 500 on multiple occasions and serving in executive roles at major automotive companies like Volkswagen Group, Aston Martin Lagonda, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (now Stellantis).

She was also the first woman to lead a performance brand and motorsport for a global automaker when she served as director of marketing and operations for Street Racing and Technology (SRT).

Paretta’s impact across motorsport is already far-reaching, having co-founded Women in Motorsports North America with racing legend Lyn St James. She also serves on the board of directors of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America and is a delegate to the International Automobile Federation (FIA) Women in Motorsport Commission.

Coming next:

Paretta starts her new role from 1st May, in time for the series’ next round at the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit in Germany from 11th to 12th May.
