- Mercedes (US$3.94bn) and Red Bull (US$3.5bn) complete top three
- Average revenue for all ten teams was US$376.2m in 2023
Every Formula One outfit is now worth more than US$1 billion as team valuations hit an average of US$2.31 billion in 2024, according to Sportico’s latest rankings.
Ferrari lead the way with a valuation of US$4.78 billion, followed by Mercedes at US$3.94 billion. Red Bull round out the top three at US$3.5 billion.
McLaren and Aston Martin are estimated to be worth US$2.65 billion and US$2.07 billion, respectively. This tracks with the investment the latter received in September that valued the team between UK£1.5 billion (US$2 billion) and UK£2 billion (US$2.6 billion).
Despite being a full works manufacturer, Alpine is worth US$1.5 billion and in the lower half of the overall team valuations.
The smaller teams of Williams (US$1.24 billion), RB (US$1.22 billion), Sauber (US$1.2 billion) and Haas (US$1.02 billion) bring up the rear.
The teams’ average revenue for 2023 totalled US$376.2 million and all but two – Aston Martin and Williams – generated operating profits during that year.
Aston Martin have experienced the biggest percentage increase (82 per cent) in their team valuation compared to last year. The smallest increase belonged to the RB team at 35 per cent.
Overall, this not only highlights how Formula One is going from strength to strength commercially, but also just how effective the budget cap has been at providing financial stability for the teams to grow.
