Formula One has agreed a multi-year licensing partnership with racing simulator manufacturer Playseat.

Contract:

  • Playseat will produce officially licensed Formula One simulators as part of the deal
  • The first simulator, titled the Formula Intelligence – F1 Edition, will be released on 16th April

Context:

The equipment will target both casual and professional gamers, including versatile and accessible sim racing seats and high-end professional simulators. Playseat has worked closely with Formula One drivers and professional sim racers in attempts to replicate a Formula One cockpit.

This is the second licensing deal agreed in quick succession by the series, having also penned a long-term extension with Fanatics-owned Topps.
