F1 Academy has announced a multi-year partnership with software company TeamViewer.
Contract:
- TeamViewer will have a brand presence at all seven rounds this season
- Company to also participate in several Female Quotient events throughout the year and support the wildcard entry at the Zandvoort round
Context:
TeamViewer is F1 Academy’s first partner from the technology sector, highlighting the increasing relevance of this female-first championship. For TeamViewer, the partnership allows it to offer race day experiences to its customers and partners while raising awareness of the opportunities available to women and girls around working in Formula One and wider motorsport.
The deal also adds to TeamViewer’s existing involvement in Formula One through the Mercedes team, where it has had a partnership in place since the 2021 season. Mercedes will once again field junior driver Doriane Pin in F1 Academy after she finished second in last year’s championship standings.
Comment:
“Our mission is to break down barriers, on and off the track, and we’re proud to welcome TeamViewer as an official partner to support this,” said Susie Wolff, managing director of F1 Academy.
“TeamViewer’s initiatives to support more inclusivity in sports, and particularly sports technology, highlight its commitment to embracing our vision. Together, we will be a driving force behind opportunities for women in motorsport and fuel innovation both on and off the track.”
Oliver Steil, chief executive of TeamViewer, added: “We are excited to be an official partner of F1 Academy. The opportunity to overcome barriers and co-innovate with F1 Academy will only grow as the series continues to gain traction and followers around the world.
“With its racing series and grassroots initiatives like F1 Academy Discover Your Drive, being a part of this journey to make motorsport more diverse, inclusive and accessible is one we are proud to be a part of.”
