The World Rally Championship (WRC) has extended its partnership with Prograde Digital.
Confirmed:
- ProGrade Digital will continue to provide WRC with memory cards and card readers
- The two-year contract extension continues partnership that began in 2018
Context:
WRC uses ProGrade Digital’s memory cards and card readers to ensure video and audio capture for television production. The new onboard kits record and transmit live images from the three onboard cameras mounted in each car, meaning ProGrade’s memory cards need to withstand the extreme conditions they are exposed to in WRC.
Comment:
Florian Ruth, senior director of production and communications at WRC Promoter, said: “The extreme environments that the WRC travels to and the incredible stress we put ProGrade Digital’s equipment under makes us the perfect testing ground for ProGrade’s products. ProGrade have proven to be a reliable partner for us and with their products in our cameras, we are always confident we can deliver breath-taking images around the world.”
Coming next:
WRC has just four rounds left of its 2023 season, with the historic Acropolis Rally Greece up next from 7th to 10th September.
