The World Rally Championship (WRC) has confirmed that Rally Croatia will not form part of next season’s schedule.
Confirmed:
- Rally Croatia organisers confirmed its absence from the 2025 calendar to Autosport
- WRC told BlackBook Motorsport that the event has been offered a spot on next season’s European Rally Championship (ERC) schedule
- The two parties are working towards a return in 2026
Context:
With Canary Islands, Paraguay and Saudi Arabia all joining the calendar from next season, it was expected that at least one event was going to have to make way. The Croatian event had been on the schedule since 2021, but an agreement couldn’t be reached to extend its stay.
Comment:
A WRC statement seen by BlackBook Motorsport said: ‘Croatia Rally has been offered a spot on the ERC calendar in 2025, with a vision to rejoin the WRC in 2026, and we’re working as hard as we can with Croatia Rally and the government to make it happen. This is in line with what we have done recently also with Latvia, Estonia, and next year with the Canary Islands.’
Coming next:
WRC returns for its ninth round of the season with the Rally Finland between 1st and 4th August.
