The World Rallycross Championship (World RX) has dropped its season finale and will instead run a double-header in Turkey to close the year.

In the original calendar announcement, the final race of the season was set for an unannounced location, but the International Automobile Federation (FIA) has been unable to find a suitable host.

Instead, the final rounds of the 2025 season will be run across World RX’s visit to Istanbul Park in Turkey on 20th and 21st September to retain the planned six-race schedule.

According to the FIA’s release, the decision forms part of the organisation’s ‘long-term commitment to the World Rallycross Championship’. The FIA stepped in as promoter of the championship at the start of this season, stating that the move would secure World RX’s ‘future success and growth’. This will be the shortest season of World RX since it was founded in 2014.
