Australian touring car series Supercars Championship has signed a sponsorship deal with Milwaukee Tool.
Confirmed:
- Milwaukee Tool to sponsor eight-part digital and web video pod series
- Series to delve into drivers’ off-track activities and interests
- Content to be distributed via Supercars website, official social media pages and the Supercars YouTube channel
- Supercars will also offer aspiring tradespeople the chance to spend the day with the series’ motorsport and technical team at a race
Context: The deal is a natural fit for both parties, with Milwaukee able to leverage the series to promote its mechanical tools range given the crossover with followers of Supercars.
Comment: Jamie Black, general manager of commercial at Supercars, said: “This partnership between Supercars and Milwaukee signifies a significant milestone for the championship.
“We are excited to collaborate and deliver an innovative and unforgettable experience for fans through the pod series and for tradespeople who could win a once-in-a-lifetime experience and potentially start a new career in motorsport.”
Consequence: The deal is slated to start from this weekend’s Townsville 500, taking place from 7th to 9th July.
