Nascar inks betting agreement with DraftKings

Stock car racing series agrees latest sports betting partnership after deals with likes of Sportradar and FanDuel.

Nascar has agreed a deal with DraftKings that will see the betting company operate in North Carolina.

Confirmed:

  • DraftKings named exclusive daily fantasy sports partner of Nascar
  • Betting brand also becomes an authorised gaming partner of the series
  • DraftKings to receive additional sponsorship benefits nationally

Context:

North Carolina would mark the 27th state in which DraftKings operates, following the announcement of its plans to enter Vermont on 11th January.

Joe Solosky, managing director for sports betting at Nascar, said. “DraftKings has a proven track record of enhancing the fan experience across sports. We are thrilled to continue working with DraftKings to deliver Nascar fans more engagement opportunities and bring its leading mobile sportsbook to North Carolina.”

This is the latest evidence of Nascar’s increased focus on sports betting partnerships, after deals agreed with Sportradar, nVenue and FanDuel last year. This still represents a new growth opportunity for the stock car racing series, having only struck its first partnership in the space in September 2020.
