- Speedway Motorsports owns both Dover and North Wilkesboro
- Nascar also names Anduril as official defence partner and title partner of San Diego weekend
Nascar is considering moving next year’s All-Star Race to Dover Motor Speedway, according to The Athletic.
If the move goes ahead, it would open up a slot on the calendar for North Wilkesboro Speedway to host a full Cup Series points race.
North Wilkesboro has hosted the last three editions of the All-Star Race after making a long-awaited return to the Nascar Cup schedule, but the circuit has not hosted a full-points race since 1996.

Speedway Motorsports owns both Dover and North Wilkesboro, so a swap would, in theory, be fairly straightforward. A final decision has reportedly not been reached yet, although NASCAR is looking to announce its full 2026 schedule next week – so a conclusion will need to be reached soon.
Meanwhile, Nascar has announced Anduril as its official defence partner in a multi-year deal. The company will also be the presenting sponsor of next season’s race in San Diego, which will take place on an active military base.
“Nascar has long been woven into the fabric of Americana – it’s a sport that connects with fans across generations and reflects the energy and determination that define us,” said Craig Stimmel, senior vice president and chief commercial officer at Nascar.
“Anduril is an American company that’s pushing boundaries in defence technology, and they bring that same drive and forward-thinking mindset. We’re excited to welcome them as the title partner of Nascar San Diego Weekend and as Nascar’s official defence partner. It’s a great match – two high-performance teams coming together with a shared vision for the future, both on and off the track.”
