MotoGP signs Estrella Galicia 0,0 as global beer partner

Spanish brand replaces Singha as motorcycling series' official beer.

Dorna Sports, series promoter of MotoGP, has announced Estrella Galicia 0,0 as its new global beer partner on a multi-year deal.

Contract:

  • Brand to receive trackside branding across much of the calendar
  • Trackside branding to be increased to a higher number of venues in subsequent seasons of the deal
  • Estrella Galicia receives a dedicated brand space in the paddock, as well as a digital package across the series' social channels
  • Beer to be offered in the MotoGP VIP village, ensuring a presence in the hospitality programme

Context: Estrella Galicia 0,0 becomes the second global beer partner in MotoGP's history following the previous deal with Singha. The Thai brand had held the position with the global motorcycling series since 2014. This is not Estrella Galicia's first involvement in MotoGP, however, as the Spanish brand has supported over half of the riders on the 2023 grid, including Marc Marquez and Alex Rins, and sponsored the Marc VDS team between 2015 and 2018.

Comment: Carmelo Ezpeleta, chief executive of Dorna Sports, said: “A global brand with a rich history in motorsport makes for a perfect partner for the world’s biggest motorcycle racing championship. We’re very much looking forward to seeing the Estrella Galicia 0,0 name at the track and across our broadcasts, as well as welcoming their initiatives in the paddock and MotoGP VIP Village as we build on this strong partnership in the coming years.”

Coming next: The 2023 MotoGP season starts this weekend in Portimão, Portugal, where the all-new sprint race format will make its debut on 25th March before the main Grand Prix on 26th March.
