MotoGP cancels 2023 Kazakhstan GP

Race still set to go ahead in 2024.

MotoGP has cancelled the 2023 Kazakhstan Grand Prix due to ongoing homologation works.


  • Track will not be replaced for this season
  • Sokol International Racetrack still planned to host a race in 2024
  • MotoGP also cited ‘global operational challenges’

Context: MotoGP has a five-year deal to race in Kazakhstan, which was set to become the 30th country to host a motorcycle Grand Prix since 1949.
