MotoGP has agreed a two-year title sponsorship with Brembo for the Italian Grand Prix.
Contract:
- Brembo gets headline spot for Mugello race until 2025
- Existing partnership with MotoGP also extended until 2027
Context:
Brembo has long been involved with the global motorcycling series and expanded its role to braking inspiration partner for the 2023 season. This initial deal was agreed until the end of 2025, so the naming rights for the Mugello race includes a two-year extension for this partnership.
This isn’t the first time Brembo has stepped up to title sponsor a race, though. The brand held a one-year deal for the Portuguese Grand Prix at Portimão Circuit in 2021.
Comment:
Dan Rossomondo, chief commercial officer of MotoGP rights holder Dorna, said: “We’re very happy to welcome Brembo as the title sponsor for the Italian Grand Prix.
“Brembo have been an established presence in our sport as a supplier to the premier class, and it’s great news for MotoGP that the relationship has continued evolving, from supplier to braking inspiration partner and now also title sponsor for one of our most coveted race weekends. We’re looking forward to returning to Mugello for the Gran Premio d’Italia Brembo.”
Coming next:
Next up for MotoGP is its second visit to Spain this season with the Catalan Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from 24th to 26th May. This is quickly followed by the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello from 31st May to 2nd June.
