McLaren F1 expand OKX partnership

Cryptocurrency exchange to have increased branding presence on cars.

McLaren have expanded their partnership with cryptocurrency exchange OKX, a move which also includes the Formula One team's esports division.

Contract:

  • OKX branding will be carried on the sidepods at seven races: Australia, Austria, Hungary, Belgium, Singapore, Japan, and São Paulo
  • Company logo will also have an increased presence on the driver overalls

Context: The British team first partnered with the cryptocurrency exchange back in 2022, signing a multi-year partnership to support McLaren's global fan experience. Towards the end of last season, OKX activated its partnership with a special livery which ran at the Singapore and Japanese Grands Prix.

Comment: Zak Brown, McLaren Racing chief executive, said: “When partnering with brands in dynamic, fast-evolving industries like crypto, it’s important to be aligned with companies who work to the highest standards and to carry a responsibility to educate people on new technologies – and our partnership with OKX has led by example.”

Coming next: The updated branding will be visible for the first time at this weekend's Australian Grand Prix, taking place from 31st March to 2nd April.
