IndyCar will continue to race at Road America in Wisconsin after a multi-year extension was agreed.
Contract:
- Renewed partnership will focus on enhancing the fan experience at races
- The collaboration will look to upgrade fan zones, introduce more interactive displays, and offer expanded access to drivers and teams
Context:
Road America first featured on the IndyCar schedule in 1982, only dropping off the calendar for one year until 2007. However, it was then absent from the series until 2016. Racer reports that this latest deal is three years in length.
Comment:
“Road America is a magnificent facility and great partner to IndyCar,” said Jay Frye, IndyCar president. “With its rich history, iconic layout and packed grandstands and campgrounds, it remains a favourite for our drivers and teams. We look forward to having this key event on the NTT IndyCar Series calendar for years to come.”
