IndyCar and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) have signed a multi-year extension with Snap-On.
Confirmed:
- US-based manufacturing company to continue as official tools and equipment partner
- Snap-on will continue to highlight the Makers and Fixers initiative, which celebrates people working in mechanical engineering at all levels
Context: Snap-On first partnered with IndyCar and IMS in 2020, when Penske Entertainment stepped in to take over. This represents the second renewal since 2020, which implies another two-year deal has been signed. Snap-On has been partnered with Team Penske across Nascar and IndyCar for 42 years.
Comment: Mark Miles, president and chief executive of Penske Entertainment, said: “Snap-on is deeply rooted in motorsports, and we look forward to continuing this partnership. The tools and equipment provided by Snap-on are an ideal match for the Makers and Fixers who perform at the highest caliber at every IndyCar event and throughout the IMS season.”
Coming next: IndyCar returns this weekend for its tenth race of the season at the Exhibition Place street circuit in Toronto, Canada, on 16th July.
