The Jaguar Formula E team have agreed a technical partnership with Google Cloud starting next season.
Contract:
- Google Cloud becomes the official cloud partner of the Grove-based team
- The outfit will use the the company’s AI and technologies to improve performance on and off track
Context:
Jaguar have followed the lead of Formula E, which signed a multi-year deal with Google Cloud in March. The company worked with the all-electric series on the GenBeta race car development programme, which resulted in a new indoor land speed Guinness World Record of 218.7km/h.
With Jaguar, Google Cloud will be able optimise real‑time captured car performance data from the car to ensure engineers can make live decisions, putting the team in the best position to be competitive.
