Formula E and DHL agree multi-year partnership extension

Logistics company renews deal dating back to 2013.

The all-electric Formula E series has agreed a multi-year extension with its official logistics partner DHL.

Contract:

  • DHL and Formula E signs multi-year extension
  • Biofuels will be utilised for all road and sea freight

Context: DHL has been Formula E's official logistics partner since September 2013, helping to deliver the electric racing series in its early form. DHL will utilise biofuels for all road and sea freight this season, although air freight will make up most of Formula E's logistics.

Comment: Matt Scammell, chief commercial officer, Formula E: “DHL helped bring Formula E to life and has been a valued partner ever since. We are delighted the relationship will continue as together we embark on the Gen3 era where we are racing at the very limit of innovation, pushing the boundaries of development in EV technology and defining the future of motorsport.”

Coming next: Formula E returns this weekend for its season-opening race in Mexico, before embarking on a 16-race season including the new destinations of Cape Town in South Africa, Hyderabad in India and São Paulo in Brazil.
