F2 and F3 release provisional 2024 calendars

Second-tier series to debut in Qatar, with Lusail International Circuit replacing Zandvoort on the calendar.

Formula One support series Formula Two and Formula Three have released their provisional 2024 calendars.

  • F2 to debut in Qatar, with the Lusail International Circuit replacing Zandvoort on the calendar
  • F3 calendar identical to 2023
  • Imola returns to both calendars following the race’s cancellation this year

Context: Both calendars remain the same length as this season, but Formula Two will move away from having a near two-month break at the end of the season thanks to Azerbaijan featuring later on the Formula One calendar and the addition of a race at the Lusail Circuit in Qatar. There is still just over a month’s gap between the races at Baku and Lusail.

Comment: Stefano Domenicali, president and chief executive of Formula One, said: “It is fantastic to announce such an exciting F2 calendar for 2024, following on from the 24 race calendar we announced for Formula One a few weeks ago. The breadth of venues and the addition of Qatar is another sign of the strength and interest in F2 globally and the talent we have in the championship is very positive for the future.”
