Formula One fans from Britain are nearly twice as likely to be aware of sponsors operating in their chosen sport compared to the country’s general population, according to a study by YouGov.
Confirmed:
- 43 per cent of Formula One fans take notice of the brands that sponsor the sporting events they watch
- This compares to more than a third (34 per cent) of motorsport fans and 27 per cent of the general public
- Formula One fans are also more likely to support their teams by buying products from sponsors (29 per cent) compared to the general public (17 per cent)
