Formula One will return to the Algarve International Circuit near Portimão, Portugal, on a two-year deal from the 2027 season.

The new agreement has been signed with the Portuguese government, Turismo de Portugal, and promoter Parkalgar, Parques Tecnológicos e Desportivos, S.A.

In effect, the Portuguese Grand Prix will replace the Dutch Grand Prix. Zandvoort will leave the calendar after next season after the promoter opted against accepting a rotational slot.

However, the two-year deal with Portimão is noticeably short compared with other recent agreements. With interest in joining the Formula One calendar at an all-time high, the short-term contract gives both sides flexibility moving forward.
