Formula One will launch year-round access to the Las Vegas Grand Prix Plaza from early next year.
Confirmed:
- The programme will feature karting, an interactive and educational 4D exhibition, a merchandise store, and three new private event spaces
- Additional information on the breadth of activities available will be made public in the coming months
Context:
The karting offering will be under the F1 Drive brand, which first opened a location in London earlier this year. The 1,650-foot-long racetrack will incorporate part of the Las Vegas Strip Circuit. The 4D exhibition will be known as F1 X and focus on being accessible for visitors of all ages.
The F1 Hub will offer a collection of racing simulators, an eatery, and a retail store selling various pieces of merchandise. In addition, the three private event spaces will seek to ensure that Formula One remains a commercial hotspot in Las Vegas.
Comment:
“The opening of Grand Prix Plaza’s year-round, consumer facing programming will enable Formula One to engage with visitors to the Valley and residents alike in new and exciting ways,” said Renee Wilm, chief executive of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
“Our commitment to the Las Vegas community runs deep, and we could not be happier to bring this collection of unique and immersive experiences to the destination.”
Emily Prazer, chief commercial officer of Formula One and the Las Vegas Grand Prix, added: “As F1 continues to grow in popularity in new regions and demographics, we recognised the opportunity to create an immersive touch point in North America all year long.
“The programming planned for 2025 will build excitement around the sport through educational and interactive experiences and ultimately help to expand F1’s presence in Las Vegas and in the US more broadly.”
Coming next:
The Las Vegas Grand Prix returns from 20th to 22nd November in 2025, but this move will look to make the city a destination for both casual and ardent Formula One fans outside of just one weekend.
