F1 Drive, the first Formula One-licensed karting experience, will officially open its doors at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 6th February.
Confirmed:
- The karting venue will have three different circuits
- It will feature immersive in-kart audio, including commentary from David Croft and Naomi Schiff
- Steering wheels will feature an 18cm LED display, providing information like lap times and live race position
- A ‘DRS’ (Drag Reduction System) button is also included, allowing greater speed when close to the competitor in front
Context:
The 15-year collaboration between Formula One and Tottenham Hotspur was announced in February last year, with the venue officially accredited by the National Karting Association.
Formula One is making a concerted licensing push in recent years, most recently securing investment worth UK£30 million (US$37.7 million) to establish more F1 Arcade venues around the world.
