- Snow departs after nearly 18 months in the role
- He did not want to make the long-term commitment to living in Europe
- Race promotions director Chloe Targett-Adams also leaving F1
Formula One commercial managing director Brandon Snow is set to leave Formula One.
As previously reported by Motorsport.com, BlackBook Motorsport understands that the American will depart after nearly 18 months in the role.
Motorsport.com reports that Snow ‘did not want to make a long-term commitment to living in Europe’.
Similarly, when Snow’s predecessor Sean Bratches stepped down, a Formula One statement revealed he ‘decided to return to the United States to be closer to his family’.
Snow was responsible for utilising and enhancing commercial opportunities, especially in the US. He oversaw agreements like the multi-year deal with Paramount+.
The North American market was a large focus for Snow, having previously said that Las Vegas “will be the home of F1 in the US”.
Before joining Formula One, the American served as global head of esports for Activision Blizzard and also spent ten years working for the National Basketball Association (NBA).
This departure leaves Jonathan Haworth, director of commercial partnerships, as the most senior member of the existing Formula One commercial team. He started in the role in October last year.
Motorsport.com also reports that Chloe Targett-Adams, race promotions director, is ending her 14-year association with the global motorsport series.
