E1 Series signs Aurora broadcast partnership

Agency to broadcast live racing, highlights and behind-the-scenes content.

E1 Series has signed its first broadcast partnership with Aurora Media Worldwide.

Confirmed:

  • Agency to broadcast live racing, highlights and behind-the-scenes content
  • E1 Series will now look to finalise deals with broadcasters around the world

Context:

Aurora, which already has partnerships in place with the likes of Formula E, Extreme E and Nitro RX, will help to develop the series’ identity as it finds its feet. Rodi Basso, chief executive of E1, previously told BlackBook Motorsport that the series was “trying to understand what is the right format in order to cope with these characteristics”, something that will now be aided by Aurora.

Comment:

“We are proud to be partnering with Aurora,” said Basso. “I have full confidence they will bring our ground-breaking raceboats, beautiful event locations, and talented pilots to life through a high-quality visual sporting experience which will provide fans with the best possible view to the action.

“In addition to world-class sporting action, we aim to take viewers on a journey that inspires us to more closely consider the effect of our actions on our lakes, waterways, coastlines and oceans, and our broadcast content will play a critical role in achieving this goal.”

Coming next:

While a finalised calendar is yet to be announced, E1 is set to get underway in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in early 2024.
