Alpine F1 team sign Amazon Music sponsorship deal

First streaming service to collaborate with a Formula One team.

The Alpine Formula One team have signed a sponsorship deal with Amazon Music.

Context: This move builds on the existing relationship between Amazon Music and Renault Group, having previously collaborated on the launch of the music streaming service on the Megane e-tech and Austral brands.

Comment: David Gendry, vice president, sponsoring, partnerships and communications for Alpine, said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Amazon Music and we look forward to working with such a powerful and inspiring global brand.

“This collaboration will provide not only enhanced visibility for both BWT Alpine F1 Team and Amazon Music, but it will also provide a host of unique activations and opportunities matched by common interest for both parties. We are very excited to begin this collaboration and we welcome Amazon Music to the team from this weekend’s British Grand Prix, the home race of the Enstone team.”

Coming next: The new deal takes effect from this weekend’s British Grand Prix, which is being held from 7th to 9th July. Amazon Music branding will be visible on the Alpine cars, as well as on the helmets of drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly.
