The Alpine Formula One team have agreed a premium partnership with MSC Cruises.

Contract:

  • MSC Cruises joins Eni, H. Moser & Cie, and Renault E-Tech as premium partners
  • The cruise line will feature prominently on Alpine’s car this year

Context:

MSC Cruises has been a global partner of Formula One since 2022, with its current contract expiring in 2026 after signing a three-year extension in 2023. This is Alpine’s second agreement with an existing global partner of the series, adding to their deal with Qatar Airways.

A strong end to the season saw Alpine finish sixth in the constructors’ standings in what could have been a much worse year for the Enstone-based team. Off-track politics threatened to derail the team’s on-track efforts, but the return of Flavio Briatore appears to have steadied the ship. According to SportBusiness, the Italian was instrumental in securing this pact with MSC Cruises and a deal with Valvoline is also reportedly imminent.

Comment:

“We are incredibly excited to announce our new partnership with MSC Cruises,” said Flavio Briatore, executive advisor for Alpine.

“It is an honour for BWT Alpine Formula One Team to welcome as one of its valued partners, MSC Cruises, who have already shown their commitment to the sport as partners of Formula One.

“This collaboration brings together two dynamic industries, both driven by a passion for innovation, performance and excellence.

“We see many exciting synergies between the world of motorsport and luxury cruising, where precision, teamwork and delivering unforgettable moments are key elements. We truly look forward to working together with MSC cruises on many exciting projects, throughout the F1 season and beyond.”

Coming next:

The 2025 Alpine car will be unveiled at Formula One’s season launch event at the O2 Arena in London on 18th February.
