The Alpine Formula One team have signed a supply deal with British sportswear brand Castore.

Contract:

  • Castore to supply trackside and factory teamwear as official team kit partner
  • Alpine’s official online store will be operated by Castore
  • Company branding will feature on the team’s pit stop gantry and pit crew overalls

Context:

In addition to the Formula One team, Castore’s deal also includes the Alpine Academy and Alpine Sim Racing teams. Team personnel at both the Enstone and Viry-Châtillon factories will also be covered, as the latter remains operational despite no longer being involved in the Formula One programme.

Castore replaces Kappa as Alpine’s sportswear partner, adding to existing deals in Formula One with Red Bull and McLaren – making it the second-largest supplier in the series behind Puma. The German brand has deals with Aston Martin, Ferrari, Sauber and Williams, as well as Formula One itself.

Adidas recently entered Formula One for the first time in a multi-year deal with Mercedes and the brand is expected to partner up with Sauber once the team becomes Audi in 2026.

Currently, Racing Bulls and Haas are the only Formula One teams without a sportswear brand supplying team kit. The pair have polar opposite deals here, with the former partnering with fashion brand Hugo and the latter with Tricorp Workwear.

Comment:

“We are very pleased to announce our exciting new partnership with Castore, which will enable us to elevate our teamwear, as well as improving the overall product offering we have available for dedicated fans of the team who represent us watching at home and at the race circuits we visit around the world,” said David Warren, global marketing director at Alpine.

“We look forward to working closely together with Castore to create exciting and unique ranges of clothing that will be available to our fans worldwide and we can’t wait to see them supporting us in our colours throughout the season.”

Tom Beahon, cofounder and co-chief executive of Castore, added: “This partnership with BWT Alpine Formula One Team is an incredibly exciting development for Castore.

“Formula One is a huge growth sport globally, and a big focus area for Castore − we love that our offer in the space brings fans closer to the action.

“We are really looking forward to seeing Castore’s wings represented in a competitive environment with BWT Alpine Formula One Team next season.”

Coming next:

Given Formula One’s commercial appeal continues to go from strength to strength, expect to see more sportswear brands eyeing deals with teams. Adidas coming on board may even tempt Nike to take the plunge, especially with US automotive giant General Motors (GM) joining the grid in 2026.
