Alfa Romeo F1 esports sign X-Bionic supplier deal

X-Bionic will design esports team’s kit for coming season.

The Alfa Romeo Formula One esports team have signed a sportswear deal with X-Bionic.

Confirmed:

  • X-Bionic will design the esports team’s kit for the coming season
  • Race collection will include base layer shirts and trousers

Context:

X-Bionic’s sportswear is developed in Switzerland and crafted in Italy, a reflection of the Alfa Romeo team itself, with the Italian brand title sponsoring the Sauber outfit based in Switzerland. This esports deal will likely see Alfa Romeo exit as title sponsor at the end of the 2023 season, so it will be interesting to see how that is conveyed through EA Sports’ F1 23 game, which will be used for the upcoming esports season.

Comment:

Alessandro Alunni Bravi, team representative for Alfa Romeo, said: “We are pleased to welcome X-Bionic to Alfa Romeo F1 Team Kick Esports, and we are looking forward to working together on a quest towards peak performance. Just like us, X-Bionic pays great attention to detail, an essential characteristic that brings our fields closer to each other.

“Thanks to their highly innovative garments, which redefine the standard for functional clothing, our esports athletes will see their physical potential amplified, as they prepare to fight for wins in the 2023/2024 F1 Esports Pro Championship.”

Coming next:

The 2023 Formula One esports season remains without a start date, but Alunni Bravi’s comments on this new deal imply the schedule will straddle the New Year.
