McLaren F1 team signs multi-year partnership with Workday

British team to utilise company's financial planning software.

The McLaren Formula One team have signed a multi-year partnership with Workday.

Contract:

  • McLaren will use Workday's financial planning software products
  • Workday branding to be visible across several team touchpoints from this weekend's Australian Grand Prix

Context: Much like their previous partnership with Salesforce, McLaren have secured a deal with a company that already sponsors Formula One. Workday first signed a regional deal with the series in 2021, before this was expanded to include Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2022.

Comment: Matt Dennington, executive director, partnerships and accelerator for McLaren Racing, said: “In the competitive world of Formula One, efficiency and performance are crucial both on and off the racetrack. Workday will support our team's enhanced financial and operational planning, improving our agility in key decision-making.”

Coming next: The partnership will be seen in action for the first time at this weekend's Australian Grand Prix, from 31st March to 2nd April.
