The World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK) has extended its contract with MotorLand Aragon until 2027.
Contract:
- Three-year extension follows an extensive refurbishment at the circuit over the last three months
- The updates include a track resurface, new kerbs and upgraded runoff areas
Context:
This agreement is one year longer than the circuit’s current contract with MotoGP, which was restructured earlier this year. MotoGP will race at the circuit uninterrupted until 2026, and the expanded deal required local government to invest €8 million (US$8.7 million) in improving the circuit.

Gregorio Lavilla, executive director of WorldSBK, said: “We are delighted to secure the future of WorldSBK at MotorLand Aragon. Its spectacular layout makes it a favourite among motorcycle fans, producing thrilling races and presenting a significant challenge to all competitors.
“Additionally, the venue boasts excellent facilities overall. The recent upgrades underscore MotorLand Aragon’s and the region’s commitment to supporting world-class racing.”

MotorLand Aragon will host WorldSBK from 27th to 29th September, after its MotoGP race from 30th August to 1st September.
