- DMG Mori machines to continue to produce parts for Red Bull cars
- Manufacturer also providing Red Bull Racing with servicing and technical support
Formula One team Red Bull Racing have signed a multi-year extension to their innovation partnership with machine tools manufacturer DMG Mori.
Germany-based DMG Mori initially came on board with Red Bull as its machine tool supplier prior to the team’s first entry into Formula One in 2005. The company then became an innovation partner of Red Bull in 2012.
The renewal will see DMG Mori’s machines continue to mill parts for the Red Bull car, ranging from small fasteners to gearbox components. The company will also continue to provide Red Bull with servicing and technical support for the duration of the deal.
"We are delighted to extend our innovation partnership with DMG Mori," says Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing team principal.
"The machines and services supplied by DMG Mori are an integral part of our success on track and we look forward to continue building our relationship in the years to come."
Steve Finn, managing director of DMG Mori UK, added: "We are extremely proud to have extended the innovation partnership with Red Bull Racing Honda for several more years. Working alongside a fast-moving industry gives us a great opportunity to hone our skill sets and provide true innovation."
