The Red Bull Formula One team have agreed a three-year extension of their partnership with Tag Heuer.
The Swiss watch brand will remain the racing outfit’s official engine-naming partner, official timekeeper and official timepiece supplier, prolonging a relationship that dates back to 2016.
As part of the agreement, Teg Heuer’s branding will continue to appear on the livery of the cars driven by Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo, who carried Red Bull to third place in the 2018 constructors’ championship.
“Over the past three seasons the Tag Heuer name has become deeply linked with the team’s efforts, through its branding of our power units, and also via the company’s exceptional global visibility,” said Red Bull team principal Christian Horner. “The Tag Heuer name has outstanding heritage in Formula One, stretching back to the golden age of grand prix racing, and we are proud to play a part in that continuing story.
“I believe that the team and Tag Heuer are united in a common goal – a relentless pursuit of precision and perfection – and I am looking forward to continuing that quest in the years to come.”
The partnership fits within Tag Heuer’s extensive sponsorship portfolio in motorsport, which includes deals with the Formula E all-electric racing series, the World Touring Car Championship and the Indy500.
“No one better than Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, with its young and exciting team, its unconventional approach to Formula one, and its amazing experiences and track records on the circuits illustrate better our motto: ‘Don’ t crack under pressure’,” added Tag Heuer chief executive Stéphane Bianchi. “It was evident to me that the incredible link between TAG Heuer and Formula 1 had to continue through this partnership.”
