- Nascar averages 2.1m viewers across five races on Prime Video
- IndyCar currently averaging 777k viewers through four road courses
Nascar averaged 1.89 million viewers at Pocono Raceway for the final race of the series’ broadcast package with Prime Video.
This is a fall of 22.2 per cent compared to last year’s race, which aired on USA Network much later in the 2024 season. A fairer comparison would be Iowa, which aired on USA Network at the same point of last season, but this results in a larger 30.6 per cent year-over-year (YoY) decrease.
This audience performance at Pocono confirms that Prime Video has averaged 2.1 million viewers for its debut run of Nascar races. On the whole, this figure holds up well against Nascar’s traditional cable performance, which sits at 2.18 million viewers between 2020 and 2024.
Although, while the 2025 season does not offer complete cable figures yet, FS1’s segment of this season averaged 2.46 million viewers.
After 17 regular season races, Nascar is averaging 2.95 million viewers in 2025. This is a noticeable drop from last season, which averaged 3.33 million viewers at the same stage.

Meanwhile, IndyCar’s visit to Road America averaged 781,000 viewers on Fox, a ten per cent YoY decrease despite the broadcaster moving the start time earlier to avoid clashes. Although, compared to the ninth race of the 2024 season, this is actually a huge 327 per cent on Laguna Seca’s audience of 183,000.
This year’s viewership at Road America, though, ends a run of three straight races averaging one million viewers. For context, IndyCar hasn’t averaged over one million viewers for four straight races according to available figures back to the 2016 season.
IndyCar is now averaging 1.58 million viewers after nine races, although road courses specifically are averaging 777,250 viewers.
