Nascar has confirmed a return to oval racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) for 2024.
Confirmed:
- IMS returns to the oval layout for the first time since 2020
- North Wilkesboro confirmed as all-star race host again
Context:
Nascar returns to the oval layout just in time for the 30th anniversary of the series’ first race at the track. On the historic theme, North Wilkesboro will once again host the all-star race, having returned to the Nascar schedule last year. The track first debuted in Nascar in 1949 before dropping off the calendar in 1996.
