- Third-highest audience for first Atlanta race in past seven years
- Nascar’s best average viewership after two races since 2022
Nascar continued its solid start to the season as 4.49 million viewers tuned in to watch Tyler Reddick make it back-to-back race wins in 2026 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Fox.
This represented a two per cent year-over-year (YoY) audience decrease, but is also the third-highest viewership for Nascar’s early-season visit to Atlanta in the past seven years.
This is despite strong competition from the Winter Olympics and the National Basketball Association (NBA), which respectively averaged 8.8 million and 4.5 million viewers directly opposite the Nascar race.
Based on the first two races of the regular season, Nascar has recorded its strongest start in terms of average viewership since 2022.
However, as was the case last year, the series now faces a prolonged stretch on FS1 following its visit to the Circuit of the Americas.
While both Fox and FS1 posted improved average audiences in 2025 compared with previous seasons, the combined figure across Fox’s 14-race slate was the lowest of the broadcaster’s Nascar partnership, largely because the schedule was weighted heavily towards cable.
